This Privacy Policy explains how WLED - AI SmartDesign ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the WLED - AI SmartDesign iOS app.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may process:

• WLED host/IP, device names, and saved scene settings are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.
• Your OpenAI API key is stored locally in your device Keychain. If you choose to use OpenAI Design, the request data (such as your prompt and API authorization) is sent directly from your device to OpenAI to generate results. We do not store this data on our servers.
• Purchase status data from Apple to determine whether Pro features are unlocked.

Other than optional OpenAI Design requests and Apple purchase verification, your app data stays on your device.

2. How Information Is Used

• To connect to and control your WLED devices on your local network.
• To save your preferences and app state on your device.
• To process optional OpenAI Design requests only when you trigger that feature.
• To verify and restore Pro purchases via Apple StoreKit.

3. Data Sharing and Third Parties

• We do not sell your personal information.
• If you use OpenAI Design, your prompt and API request data are sent to OpenAI so the feature can return generated color output.
• In-app purchases are handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment card details.

4. Data Storage and Retention

App settings and saved device/scene data are stored locally on your device. If you remove app data, clear fields, or uninstall the app, locally stored data is removed from your device.

If you add an OpenAI API key, it is stored in the device Keychain for local secure storage and can be removed or replaced from within the app.

5. Tracking and Analytics

We do not use third-party advertising SDKs and we do not track you across apps or websites for advertising.

6. Children's Privacy

This app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

7. Your Choices

• Use the app without OpenAI Design if you prefer.
• Remove or replace your OpenAI API key in the app at any time by editing that field.
• Delete local app data by removing devices/scenes or uninstalling.
